Review: Dermalex Atopic Eczema Cream

I’m so excited to review this product for my eczema babes! I
know I mention my facial eczema all the time, but I really like raising
awareness for it. I feel like it’s really rare to find someone else who has the
same condition as me, and when I first started trying to find treatment, as
well as makeup to try and cover it,  I couldn’t find bloggers discussing it/blogging about it.

One of the main reasons I started this blog was to talk about my issue with facial eczema and help those like me who struggle to come to terms with the dry skin and
redness it can cause. So, when Dermalex approached me about trying out their moisturizer, I jumped on the opportunity…

The formula for this product is really soft. If you’re suffering from itchiness, tap the product into the problem area. I find that rubbing, in general, is irritable anyway. So tapping in some of this product instead of rubbing can do a world of good. It’s calming and feels amazing on the skin.

As I suffer from really dry areas, I tend to coat my moisturizer on. With
this, if I’m liberal, I usually only need one coat. If I’m going to bed, I like
to add two layers to my face so that my face doesn’t dry out overnight.

For the price (around £10), you get a lot of formula which I love. I can’t
really deal with brands who charge through the nose for little product. When you’re
selling something for dry skin, you already know your audience, so you know
that they need a lot of product. I use about a 10p size of lotion twice a day
and it has lasted me quite a while!

With eczema, you don’t want your products to be perfumed. Perfume can be so irritating and harsh, especially when you have eczema on your face. On the other hand, you also don’t wait a lotion that’s going to smell TOO chemically…If that’s even a word/term. Some products for eczema can have a lingering hospital smell… But I’m glad to say that this doesn’t! It’s totally neutral in the smell, which makes it ideal (for me, anyway).

There are so many things I like about this product – and I’m definitely adding it to my toiletries and skincare routine. For the price, you get a great amount of product, and it really works at calming the itch and dulling the redness. In terms of dryness, you do need to apply more of the product, but that might just be because my skin tends to drink anything I put on it!

You can buy this product at stores such as Boots and Superdrug.

Have you tried this product before? What are your thoughts?
