Facial Eczema: Dermalogica Review

My most recent Influenster Box was really interesting. I’ve not used Dermalogica before, and I was pretty excited to try it out on my facial eczema. It’s quite rare to find products that smooth my gravel face, but I was pleasantly surprised. Some of the products in the box were hit and miss, but I’m glad I tried them in any case.

I’ve heard some good reviews about this product, and I quite like the novelty if it being in powder form. To use this product, you wet your hands and mix in about a teaspoon of the product until you have a paste. Then you scrub your face as normal. The smell isn’t great, but as an everyday exfoliator, it’s great quality. If I need a vigorous scrub I’ll still use my St.Ives though!

I rarely use gel cleansers, they tend to dry me out which is why I stick to my scrubs and a heavy emollient. But this has actually been a pleasant addition to my routine. My skin feels clean and smooth after use and doesn’t dry me out at all.

Admittedly, I haven’t used a balm or face mitt before, so this was a new product I was eager to try. It’s my favourite from the entire box! You squeeze a tiny amount on the mitt and massage the product into your face. I use this after micellar water to really melt the makeup from my face.

My least favourite product in the box is the skin smoothing cream. At first, I hated this product, it has a very alcoholic smell, and somehow I managed to get it in my eyes, which then stung for hours. After a few days, I’m starting to appreciate it as a post-shower/pre emollient cream though. I’m not sure I would recommend purchasing this product, but if you’re willing to try a new range I can’t see the harm as it hasn’t aggravated any flare-ups.
